Sunday, March 19, 2006 - Coming in October... March Ultrasound

Yay! I'm going to be a father! Julie and I found out in January and have been patiently waiting to tell everyone. We wanted to wait until after the ultrasound came back and everything was going along smoothly. We got to see a tiny heartbeat and the nurse was able to hear Jr. swimming around. So we're going to have a baby that is just as active as me. Oh boy.

Anyway, you can click on the ultrasound picture or HERE to see a larger version. Keep checking back here. I'll keep the site up to date with baby news. I can't believe I'm gonna be a dad! The due date is October 10th (maybe as late as the 18th) so it'll be here just in time for Halloween!

Friday, March 17, 2006 - I've Been Published! Full Disclosure - Feb 2006

After reading an article in the February issue of PC World I sent them my comments... And they published a paraphrased version of my response. The original article was an editorial called "Web 2.0? First, Let's Get Web 1.0 Right!" that basically says before moving to the new Web 2.0 it would be nice to have Web 1.0 working right. I took offense, wrote a letter, and they published it in the April issue of PC World. Here is a link to the original article: Full Disclosure - Feb 2006 and here si a link to my response (scroll to the bottom of the page): Letters - April 2006

Wednesday, March 8, 2006 - Vacation Aggravation

Julie and I are trying to decide on a vacation spot for this summer. Unfortunately we can't decide where to go. Julie's ideal location would be a secluded tropical beach with nobody else around except for a few nearby restaurants. The weather must be between 65° and 75° and sunny and the whole vacation can't cost much. I don't think a place like that exists. I'd like to go to Montana and find a place to relax along a mountain lake. Somewhere we can relax if we want or hike if we want and always have majestic scenery. But we also want restaurants and seclusion, but not a big expense. I'm thinking somewhere around Glacier or Yellowstone. And we're considering other options, too, like North Carolina, Mackinaw Island, Hawaii, or pretty much anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? Send them to: . Julie even had me look up Treehouse rentals. That could be interesting.
