I got to feel the baby kick today!!! Julie felt the baby move a few times several weeks back, but that stopped for a while. Then the last few days she's felt sharp jabs in the bladder, especially when it's full. And today I was able to feel the baby kick! I had my head on her belly trying to listen for the heartbeat and I got kicked in the jaw! Several times! I don't think I've ever been happier to get kicked in the face. But hopefully baby won't make a habit of kicking me in the face when it's older.

Julie and I have created two baby registries. One at Target and one at Amazon. Amazon offers more items than Target, but Target has stores that you can actually shop at. So we've tried to keep most things on the Target list, but there were a few things we could only get at Amazon.

So, even though we aren't asking anyone for gifts, we know people will still want to buy stuff for our baby. So, please purchase something off of one of these lists, or buy a savings bond for the baby. We are also going to be setting up a college fund, so if you would like to contribute to that, it would be greatly appreciated.

We aren't very excited about any kind of toys that make an excessive amount of noise, so please try to avoid any singing or musical toys. We've included some of the toys that we like on the registry. Thanks everyone!

Also, we've decided to use cloth diapers. We've already purchased stuff that we think we'll need, but if anyone has any tips or items that they've found useful, we'd appreciate those also.

Julie had her 20 week ultrasound today! Everything is looking great. The baby has fingers, toes, ears, heart, stomach... everything a baby is supposed to have! We didn't find out the gender, though. We want that to be a surprise. Julie thinks it'll be a girl, but I'm thinking boy. You can click on the ultrasound picture or HERE to see larger versions.

Julie and I have been finding more baby names that we like, so I've added a bunch of names to the Baby Names surveys, especially to the girl names. You can view them on my Surveys page.

I was just looking at a few of my photo galleries and realized that I hadn't uploaded anything since 2004! Wow. Where did 2005 go? Anyway, I uploaded some photos from Door County in June of 2005 and some Geocaching photos from January of 2006. You can check them out on my Photo Galleries page.
