TV Shows

Yes, we probably watch too much TV. But it's time I get to spend cuddled on the couch with my wife, so it's worth it. Besides, I tell her all the time, "There's no one else in the world I'd rather waste time with than you." Below are some of our favorite shows. It's a good thing we don't have cable - we'd never stop watching stuff.

Our Favorites
We try not to miss an episode... I make sure the VCR is set for these (sorry, no TiVo).

>> Numb3rs: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/numb3rs/ - Julie and I love this show that uses real math to solve crimes. The math is pretty sound, it's explained well, and the characters are very engrossing. If you haven't seen this show yet, give it a try. It's one of our favorites.

>> CSI: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/ - With its combination of science, action and mystery, we've fallen prey to this great crime series.

>> CSI - New York: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi_ny/ - This is the newest installment in the CSI empire. Personally we like it better than CSI Miami.

>> CSI Miami: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi_miami/ - Even though this is our least favorite CSI show (Horatio can get annoying) it's still one of the best shows on TV.

>> Coupling - BBC: http://www.bbcamerica.com/genre/comedy_games/coupl... - Somewhere between Friends and Sex & the City, coupling is a unique British comedy that looks at the lives of a group of 30ish-year-old friends. The content is definitely adult oriented, but this is a million times better than the short lived US version. We still watch reruns while we wait patiently for possible new episodes. Stephen Moffatt - please give us more Coupling!

>> My Name Is Earl: http://www.nbc.com/My_Name_Is_Earl/ - This is one of the most clever shows I've seen in a long time. I can't describe it... Just watch it. You won't be disappointed.

>> Lost: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index.html - The show that changeed TV drama. It truly is addictive. The only downside is that you can't miss an episode or you'll be as lost as the survivors of Oceanic flight 815. You must watch this in order from the beginning.

>> Invasion: http://abc.go.com/primetime/invasion/index.html - In Fall of 2005 three alien dramas started on three networks. This is by far the best one. We havn't missed an episode. But, like Lost, you have to watch it in order and can't miss an episode.

>> Stargate SG-1: http://www.scifi.com/stargate/ - Stargate started out excellent. It was a great combination of Sci-Fi and history. The science was fairly sound, the stories were interesting, and the entire show made you think. Lately the show has lost touch with is's historical aspect, but it still ranks up there as a great sci-fi show. We've seen every episode so far.

>> Stargate Atlantis: http://www.scifi.com/atlantis/ - This off-shoot of Stargate SG-1 is also pretty good. Unlike early Stargate seasons, this doesn't have much basis in actual history, but it builds off of the previous seven seasons of Stargate SG-1. We probably would have liked it better if the writers could have incorporated some sort of actual historical mythology into the storyline, but as it is it's a pretty good sci-fi show.

>> The Office - US: http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/ - I love this one. Julie insists that she hates it, but can't stop watching any time it's on. If you've ever worked in an office environment, especially one with a too-egotistical boss who just doesn't get it, this one is for you. Uncomfortably entertaining...

>> Scrubs: http://www.nbc.com/Scrubs/ - It's getting goofy, but it continues to entertain us. It's very clever.

>> Stacked: http://www.fox.com/stacked/ - Surprisingly we've found this show very well written and very funny. Julie likes Christopher Lloyd's retired NASA scientist character.

>> Surface: http://www.nbc.com/Surface/ - Of the three alien dramas to appear in the fall of 2005, this one got off to the slowest start. Unlike Threshold, though, it held its own. It's kept our interest, but not as much as Invasion.

>> American Idol: http://www.idolonfox.com/ - We got addicted to American Idol during Season 4. We loved both Bo and Carrie and were impressed that that kind of talent would be on American Idol. Now we're watching the current season with high expectations.
